In 1961, CBC was started as Pietersburg Baptist Church in the home of Jack and Maysie Cross. The church bought the 7 th Day Adventist church building during the early years, where a church hall and classrooms were added over time.
In 1989 CBC started to evolve into a more team ministry where various roll players joined the church on a full-time basis. Samaria Mission became a ministry of CBC in 1989 and in 1997 Christ Seminary was started as a ministry of CBC.
The building of our present facilities was started in 1996 and we moved into these premises in March 1997, further building, additions, and alterations have since taken place over the years.
